An organization desiring to operate as a high level performer must analyze their organization from the perspectives of growth and sustainability for both the organization and the staff. This is the Fusion of Human Energy and Business Energy. A company will impact performance, productivity and profitability through the effective fusion of these energies. The business energy encompasses all aspects of the operation excluding people. It’s about product or service, systems, processes, facilities, environment.
The human energy is all about people and their involvement within the operation. It starts with management’s philosophy of how people will be treated to the actual behaviors and thoughts of each individual within the work environment. Impacting an organization has to start with performance. The organization must have a vision focusing on the growth of the business as well as the strategy for sustainability. The vision should also have a component regarding the company culture. These well thought out strategies and effective implementation will ensure the organization progresses in the direction desired. Systems should be user friendly, process should be clearly defined, product/service should be technical sound and the operation must flow as slowly as possible.
Impacting the organization’s people’s performance is the effectiveness of directing the workforce plus the development, training and involvement of people. Those that supervise the people must believe that individuals want to learn, want to perform, and want to contribute to the success of the organization. Respecting people, treating people with dignity, and empowering people to perform to established standards will influence performance and create success.
